ADELE SMOLANSKY
My name is Adele Smolansky, and I am a freshman at Cornell University studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am from Brooklyn, NY and I attended Brooklyn Technical High School as a math major. For four years I worked as a private tutor for grades K-12 and during my last summer, I tutored for Mathnasium Park Slope. By working with kids of all ages, I have come to understand that each student learns differently and thus greatly benefits from a private tutor. At Cornell, I was so pleasantly surprised to see all students working together to solve problems and explain confusing topics to their friends. It’s not easy to study and work on your own, and the COVID-19 outbreak has made getting help more difficult. Thus, I wanted to make a company with Cornell students to help students in grades K-12 learn with the help of a college student.
